Trax vs CR-V: Performance

2021 Chevy TraxWhen it comes to performance, the 2021 Chevy Trax and the 2020 Honda CR-V are evenly matched. Both models offer one spritely turbo 4-cylinder engine throughout their trim level lineups that perfectly straddles the line between power and efficiency. You’ll get fuel economy MPG well into the 20s in the city and into the 30s while traveling on the highway.

Additionally, both models come standardly equipped with a front-wheel drivetrain that can be swapped out for an all-wheel drivetrain. Opt for the latter for maximized confidence in any type of weather conditions and to even take the fun off the pavement every once in a while.

Trax vs CR-V: Interior Comfort

2021 Chevy Trax InteriorInside both the 2021 Chevy Trax and the 2020 Honda CR-V, you'll find five spacious seats with 40+ roomy inches of legroom to offer in the front two seats. You'll also have more than 39 inches of front headroom to make riding comfortable for tall passengers.

The Trax takes interior comfort to the next level, though, with extra wiggle room in the rear. This model has 50.7 inches of hip room in the second row of seats. The CR-V, on the other hand, only offers 49.5 inches of hip room in the rear row, which will make fitting three adults in the back a bit of a squeeze.

Additionally, the Trax and the CR-V are comparable in terms of cargo. However, the Trax does have a trick up its sleeve with a flat-folding front-passenger seat that can accommodate long cargo items. You won’t get this in the Honda.

Trax vs CR-V: Technology

2021 Chevy Trax TechThe 2021 Chevy Trax comes standardly equipped with an intuitive Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System that offers a large 7-inch diagonal color touchscreen and a wide variety of connectivity features. With this system, you'll have Bluetooth®, voice command recognition, and smartphone app integration via Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

The 2020 Honda CR-V also offers a smart infotainment system. Unfortunately, though, it's only offered in the higher trim levels of this model. This means you'll have to upgrade from the base trim if you want more than a 5-inch non-touchscreen and to take advantage of smartphone app integration. You'll also completely miss out on a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, as the CR-V doesn't offer one in any trim level.

2021 Chevy Trax vs 2020 Honda CR-V: Which One?

While the 2020 Honda CR-V offers a few great features, it doesn't offer the comprehensive experience that you'll get with the 2021 Chevy Trax. Now that you've had a taste of what this model has to offer, it's time to get behind the wheel and experience it for yourself.
